Review - Rimmel Flash Eyeliner Pen

This is just a quick post, and the main reason being is that there is just not much to say about this product. This little baby was a big waste of 5 bucks...Its so dry and you have to drag on the eyelid to try and get any intensity of colour. The pen itself would be brilliant if any proper colour came out...the quantity is so hit and miss, which is such a pity because you would get the perfect flick if this worked.  I've read alot of reviews from people saying this was brilliant but 2 other girls in work had bought the same pen and all have the same problem....it's a dry kinda crappy eyeliner....Sorry Rimmel...xx

Review - Rimmel Glam'Eyes Day 2 Night Mascara...

I have always been a fan of Rimmel's Mascaras so of course when I saw this new one I had to buy it. I paid 5.25euro in Boots. It's a dupe mascara for Haute & Naughty lash by MAC but at half the cost..
The mascara offers two brushes in one tube, one for “daytime” which is lengthening and one for “nighttime” which adds volume.

If you are someone that prefers the au natural look(freaks...lol) then you will love the length side of this brush. I am someone that loves a mascara that gives dark thick lashes, the bigger the better, so of course I went straight for the volume side - but this was one messy mess to use at the beginning. I had it everywhere..thought I had finally mastered it and blinked and it went bloody everywhere. I found out the hard way it takes forever to dry. I found after a few tragic attempts and after wiping the wand fully clean 2 or 3 times to get rid of alot of the gloopiness that's its now a much nicer mascara to use.
Overall its an ok buy...it doesn't smudge during the day once you get it right and let it dry before you blink!! and also it doesn't really let you build up the mascara without looking too clumpy.
I will use it up but don't think I will repurchase it...xx

Are you wearing the right earrings.......

Here's a handy article I found online....Speaking from the owner of a big round head I need all the help I can get....lol
Jewelry and accessories can transform any basic outfit and add a personalized touch to your outfit. Earrings can help draw attention to your best features, so it's important to select a pair of earrings that will balance out your face shape and complement your style and personal tastes. Whether you want to elongate your face or draw attention to your eyes, here's how to select the earrings that will accentuate and flatter your face shape:

Best Earrings for the Round Face Shape

Oval, square and long dangling earrings are the best match for the classic round face shape, since these draw attention to the cheekbones and jawline and can balance out a wider forehead. Round face shapes should avoid hoops of all sizes, since these can make the face look heavier and less sculpted.

Earrings for the Heart-Shaped Face

Tear drop earrings that fall just a couple of inches below the ear lobe and medium sized hoops are the best match for heart-shaped faces. Earrings in bold designs and bright colors will draw attention to the cheekbones, and work well with this face shape and an updo hairstyle. Avoid wearing studs or miniature hoops, since these can create a rounder or 'chubbier' appearance around the cheeks and jawline.

Best Earrings for the Long-Shaped Face

Chandelier earrings and small drop earrings are the best picks for those with long faces, since these will draw attention to the cheekbones and can help fill out the face. Avoid long and skinny earrings that fall at the jawline, since these will further elongate the face.

Earrings for the Oval-Shaped Face

Long, oversized dangling earrings are the best match for the oval face shape, but this 'ideal' face shape can get away with almost any type of earring design. Spiraled earrings, medium sized hoops and teardrop earrings are a good match by day, and the longer lengths work well with an updo for a glamorous touch.

Best Earrings for the Square-Shaped Face

Long tear drop earrings and oversized round hoops are the best match for square shaped face, especially if they fall right near the jawline. Square shaped faces need to be balanced with round, oversized earrings, so you can get away with large hoops or chandelier earrings by day or night.

Earrings for the Diamond Face Shape

The diamond face shape is already fairly balanced, so you'll want to wear earrings that are simple and classic in design. Small drop earrings that fall right near the chin line are ideal for evening outfits, and small studs or hoops that fall right under the ear lobe are the best match for the day.

Lipsticks I'm Loving....x

, bI have always been a fan of nude lips and have been afraid(for me) to try dark or bright colours because I have small lips. But my inner diva has come out...lol....here is 4 of my top new brights which I've been bravely wearing.....

MAC...Ruby Woo

I have searched high and low to find a wearable shade of red and I've finally found it. It suits everyone and is definitely a must have for a makeup artists kit.....

MAC....Girl About Town

This is a gorgeous bight pink lipstick with hints of fuchsia. This was made famous by Cheryl Cole and Danni Minogue rocking this colour for most of last years X Factor. This is my new go to lipstick for a night out.
I also found a cheaper version of this...its Barry M 145 Punky Pink..a third of the cost of MAC but almost identical in colour.

Heres a picture of me wearing Girl About Town during the day and being very brave .....

2 more lipsticks which I can wear everyday or at night is 2 from Avon. They are from the Ultra Colour Rich Colordisiac Range. the new colours I have which i think would be the best from the range is Can't Resist Coral and Red Hot Lips. They can be applied sheer or build up the colour with 2 or 3 coats. These are really moisturising and can brighten up your daily makeup look....They are on sale in Avon Brochure 9 for 7.50euro each.....

How to Spot Fake MAC Cosmetic Brush Sets

Alot of people have been asking me about getting MAC Brush sets either online or off people selling from stands. These are all completely fake. Especially the makeup....some of these products can be quiet dangerous as they haven't been tested on anyone..either human or animals. I've bought fake eye shadows and pencils when I was starting off doing making and burnt the bloody eyes of myself......
The only retailer licenced to sell MAC in Ireland is Brown Thomas and I wouldn't buy from anyone else..Here's a guide I found online on how to spot Fake Mac Brushes......If any of ya are thinking of buying brushes online...send me the link and I'll check it out for you and would know straight away if they are fake..

This guide will help you spot counterfeit or fake MAC makeup brushes. Keep in mind that 99% of the MAC full-size brush sets sold on ebay or on wholesale websites are fake.

Packaging

Authentic MAC brushes and brush sets come in clear plastic sleeves with a bar code printed on the sleeve. Many of the fake cosmetic brushes come in clear plastic but without the bar code. In addition, many fake cosmetic brushes come with additional hard plastic protectors for the hairs. Real MAC cosmetic brushes do not have this additional plastic protector. They come in the simple clear plastic sleeves with bar code.

Handle

Real MAC brushes come with black wooden handles and the neck (the part that connects the handle to the hair) is silver. I've seen some bad fake brushes with black plastic necks.

Logo and Lettering

Authentic MAC brushes are labeled "MAC ###". ### being the number of the brush. On real brushes, the lettering is printed on the handle and easily rubes off with your nail. On most FAKE brushes, the lettering is engraved into the handle and very hard to rub off. Try it.
Brush Sets

Keep in mind that MAC has never offered a set of full sized makeup brushes in there stores and if they did you would be looking at about 500.00euro plus for 28 euro. Therefore, 99% of the brand new full size MAC brush sets on are FAKE.
Travel Size Brushes

MAC does make many travel size brush sets with brush numbers ending in SE. *UPDATED* - Authentic travel brush sets usually come in sets of 5 brushes with a cute brush case, the brush handles are usually some unique color, not black.

Price

50.00euro for a set of new and authentic MAC full size brushes? That's too good of a deal to be true!! The best way to avoid buying fake brushes on Ebay is to buy brushes one at a time, instead of in a set.
Hope this helps,
